At Second Seed we specialise in creating bespoke furniture in our on-site workshop as well as bringing you a unique selection of gifts including interior items, cast-iron radiators, greeting cards and many other unusual and wonderful items for your home and garden.

Second Seed, a husband and wife team of Paul and Alex, have fused a collection of Paul's original furniture designs with elegant interiors sourced from Europe to create a unique homely feel encompassing the past and present.

At our on-site workshop in the heart of Hove, Paul Soden creates stunning bespoke handmade furniture from long standing sea groynes found along the coastline of South-East England and other reclaimed timber. The shapes and colours of these weathered timbers have been an inspiration for creating a vast array of furniture for the home and garden.

The name Second Seed springs from the idea of wood originating from a seed. Working with reclaimed timber gives the wood a second life in a different form: A Second Seed Creation.

We are Hove Sweet Hove's Pick Of The Week! We LOVE this shop hidden away on Portland Road in deepest Hove & run by husband & wife team Paul & Alex. If it was in the centre of Brighton it would be a destination shop visited by everyone with good taste. It really is a treasure trove of well priced and very well chosen funrniture & interior accessories. What makes it even more special is that the wooden furniture is made by Paul whose workshop is onsite.
